Ambassador Mackenzie Irwin

Ambassador Mackenzie Irwin

     Mackenzie is the daughter of Melissa and Paul Irwin. She has one older brother, Dixon (20). Miss Irwin was a Highest Distinction Graduate this spring at Red Wing High School, she was also selected as Student of the Year. Miss Irwin will attend college at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh where she plans to major in Elementary Education and Special Education. She is employed at TNT Gymnastics as a coach and with the City of Red Wing as a seasonal worker. Mackenzie will fulfill her Red Wing Royal Ambassador Platform with Every Hand Joined. She also volunteers for Life Teen through St. Joseph Church. During her reign Miss Irwin would like to connect with a variety of people to bring awareness to the organizations and clubs available to the citizens of Red Wing. Miss Irwin is honored to have been selected as an Ambassador and hopes to grow within herself throughout the next year while representing her community. Ambassador Irwin was proudly sponsored by TNT Gymnastics.

Ambassador Ashley Knowlton

Ambassador Ashley Knowlton

     Ashley is the daughter of Debbie and Rick Knowlton. She has one older brother, Lucas (21). Ashley was a Highest Distinction Graduate this spring from Red Wing High School. Miss Knowlton attends college at St. Olaf in Northfield, Minnesota where she is working on her Nursing Major. Ashley is employed at ProAct, Inc. as a Direct Service Professional and at St. Crispin Living Community Care Center as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Ashley will fulfill her Red Wing Royal Ambassador Volunteer Platform by giving her time to National Alliance on Mental Illness. She has also volunteered for Every Hand Joined and United Lutheran Church. As an Ambassador, Miss Knowlton hopes to create a more supportive mental health program within our community and the Red Wing School District. She would like to act as an advocate for not only mentally struggling individuals but for all individuals. During her reign, she hopes to bring light in and give back to her community as they did for her. Ambassador Knowlton was proudly sponsored by First Farmers & Merchants Bank.

Ambassador Josie Lappegaard

Ambassador Josie Lappegaard

     Josie is the daughter of Jennifer and Scott Lappegaard. She has one older sister, Kelsey (21). Josie was a Highest Distinction Graduate this spring at Red Wing High School. Miss Lappegaard attends school at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa where she is working on a Chemistry Major. Miss Lappegaard  is employed at Red Cottage Montessori as an after-Care Teacher, at TNT Gymnastics as a coach and at Speight & Lappegaard Law Office as a secretary. Josie will fulfill her Red Wing Royal Ambassador Volunteer Platform by giving her time to Girls on the Run where she volunteered as a Junior Coach. She also volunteered for the community this past year for Brave New Girls, Red Wing High School Blood Drive, Red Cottage Montessori and Interact Club. As an Ambassador, Miss Lappegaard hopes to accomplish her goal of empowering young girls and the people in her community. During her reign, she would like to set expectations for others in the community by showing kindness, leadership and inclusiveness to foster a better Red Wing. Ambassador Lappegaard was proudly sponsored by Red Cottage Montessori.

Ambassador Josie was recently selected to represent Red Wing at the Minnapolis Aquatennial Festival. She will compete, along with other women from the surrounding communities for the Aquatennial Queen of the Lakes title.
